ANNUAL CANDIDATES FORUM
Our annual forum for candidates running in the November 2025 elections was hosted by the OGCA on Saturday, September 20th, at 10am in the Camp Meeting Association Community Room at 28 Pilgrim Pathway in Ocean Grove.
OPENING
The meeting was called to order by OGCA President Joyce Klein at 10:02am. The Pledge of Allegiance was followed by announcements:
- Today – the British Car Show on Main Avenue.
- Oct 4 – Fall Harvest Festival on Main Avenue.
- Oct 9 at 7pm – The League of Women Voters Forum for Candidates running for seats on the Neptune Board of Education. Pre-registration is required.
- Oct 25 – The next OGCA Saturday morning meeting with Guest Speaker Tammy Crader, Superintendent of Neptune Schools.
THE FORUM
Joyce welcomed the candidates and reviewed the guidelines for the Forum. Participating were:
- For State Assembly: Margie Donlan (D), Luanne Peterpaul (D), Jessica Ford (R), and Andrew Wardell (R).
- For County Commissioner: Tom Arnone (R), Nick DiRocco (R), Vito Colasurdo (D), and Jacquelyn Wenzel (D).
- For Neptune Township Committee: Robert Lane (D), Tassie York (D), and Bryan Acciani (D) – uncontested candidates.
There were great questions from the audience for all the candidates with the dramatic increase in property taxes being the hottest topic. The candidates were thanked for their participation
